The brief
A Sydney mortgage broking firm needed a site that made a genuinely complex topic — home and business lending — feel approachable rather than intimidating to a first-time borrower. First-time borrowers arriving at the old site were often intimidated before they’d read a word, so the design itself needed to do some of the reassuring.
The approach
Plain-language copy, a calm visual hierarchy, and a single clear next step on every page — hand-coded so the simplicity extends to load time, not just design. Jargon was cut wherever it wasn’t load-bearing, and the loan process was broken into plain, numbered steps so a borrower could see exactly what happens after they book, not just that they should.
The result
A site that builds confidence before the first call, with discovery-call bookings as the obvious next step throughout. First-time borrowers now arrive at the discovery call already understanding the process, rather than needing it explained from scratch.
